Squamous Cell Cancer
Squamous cell cancer, or squamous cell carcinoma, often originates in actinic keratoses and resembles basal cell carcinoma. However, the surface is usually more elevated and crusty (photos 20-27). This type of tumour may sometimes be mistaken for a wart. Squamous cell carcinomas may very rarely spread to lymph nodes and other organs (metastasis) and prove fatal.
