- About us
The risk of developing skin cancer is established during childhood and younger years. That is why children and young people should use a particularly effective sunscreen with sun protection factors of more than 30 that protect from UVA and UVB rays and are waterproof. Wearing a T-shirt and a sun hat should be the norm. Quality sunglasses are ideal for protecting the eyes – adults can act as role models here.
For very young children and babies the best rule that applies is” Keep them out of the Sun”. If that is not possible,( after all even parents of babies and young children when on holidays need to go to the beach) then choose to put your baby or child outdoors at hours that the sun is less strong i.e. early morning or late afternoon.
